 How You Can Help
"I have had the privilege of becoming involved with VSA arts of Maine. This program has opened new doors for me that I would have never found myself. That is why I feel it is so important that people support the arts, especially programs like this. I believe for some of us, creativeness is not just a desire, but a need."

At VSA arts of Maine, we believe that creativity has no boundaries and that all people benefit from art in their lives -- regardless of abilities or disabilities. Through our programs for children and adults with disabilities, people learn new skills, new ways to express themselves, and they build self-confidence. They see the strengths of their own creativity, without limitations. Imagine how many more opportunities for people with disabilities would exist -- how much more inclusive our communities would be -- if all people could experience this type of transformation, if we could all see the possibilities within people. You can help. With your support we can continue to provide the artist residencies, professional development workshops, cultural access training, exhibitions, and mentorships that allow people of all abilities to participate in the arts. If you share our belief that all people benefit from a life with art, we hope you will make a generous gift today in support of our work. Your tax-deductible contribution will help us continue to provide innovative and accessible arts opportunities for people with disabilities in Maine. To make a gift today, please contact our Development office at (207) 607-4016 or graciawoodward@vsartsmaine.org.
